Maryville City Council approves partnerships

The Maryville City Council met in regular session last night. The ordinances reviewed included membership with Nodaway County Economic Services and the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments, as well as a change to the benefit system for city employees.

Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says the Economic Services and Council of Governments are renewed regular partnerships.

"These are annual partnerships that the city continues in coordination with local government issues and economic development.  The City Council also approved an ordinance to improve the benefits to the L6 Benefit Program for city employee retirement through Missouri Lagers.  And that will serve as a better benefit for employees moving forward."
